Xbox 360 Officially $50 Cheaper
Microsoft has made it official, the Xbox 360 will now be sold $50 cheaper starting August 8, 2007. The core system is now priced at $279.99, the standard model $349.99, and the Elite at $449.99.
Mitch Koch, corporate vice president, Global Retail Sales and Marketing Group, Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft, had this to say, “The fact that we have been able to keep our launch price longer than any other console while retaining our leadership position demonstrates that consumers believe in the value of Xbox 360. On the eve of the best holiday games lineup ever and the launch of ‘Madden NFL 08′, there has never been a better time to jump into Xbox 360.”
Microsoft has also announced a Halo 3 version of the Xbox 360, which will be available sometime this September.
