Pirates Spread Illegal Copies of Halo 3 on Net
It is less than a week before the anticipated release of Microsoft’s Halo 3 for the Xbox 360. Yet, software pirates have managed to leak the entire game DVD files on the internet.
In similar fashion, Halo 2 started its debut, spreading across the internet nearly a month before its release in 2004. Microsoft managed to keep the damage to a minimum this time around. It is no surprise that Halo 3 has been pirated and uploaded to the internet due to its enormous anticipation in recent months. Just recently the ending for the game was leaked on to video sharing sites such as YouTube.
A general tip for the naive ones: Don’t download Halo 3 just because it is there and everyone else is doing it. Penalties include a stiff $250,000 fine and upwards of 5 years in prison.
