Wii Gets 3.1 Firmware Update
Nintendo released its newest firmware update for the Wii console. Version 3.1 brings a few new features to the console, including USB keyboard support and improved internet browsing.
Additional updates include hyperlink compatibility in the Wii message boards resulting in the browser window launching automatically, and users will now be able to submit their own questions on the “Everybody Votes” channel.
Although the 3.1 firmware update provides enhanced usability for internet access through your Wii console, the traditional computer, keyboard, mouse, and browser still seems like the better choice. People have reported compatibility with wireless keyboards, so that is a plus for couch surfing.
