PlayStation 2 Revision Hits Japan Market

Sony has officially announced the new revision (SCPH-90000) of the PlayStation 2 console for the Japanese market. The new design comes in three colors including “Charcoal Black”, “Ceramic White” and “Satin Silver”. Also included are matching vertical stands.

The new model has the same features of the current PlayStation 2 model with some enhancements to the design. The internal design architecture of the new system has been completely overhauled, resulting in a lighter weight. The newly designed PlayStation 2 will also include a built-in AC adapter, further improving users’ convenience to enjoy various entertainment contents anywhere at home.

The revision will be available November 22, 2007 in the Japanese market with future release dates expected for European territories in 2008. Unfortunately there is no price cut on the new model.
