120-160GB PS3 May Be In The Works
According to arstechnica and their reliable mole, Sony is in fact planning on discontinuing the 80GB PlayStation 3. In its place will most likely be a larger capacity disk drive model. The disk capacity could be from 120GB to 160GB.
Rumors last week led to word about the 80GB PS3 discontinuation, leaving only the 40GB version on the shelves. Arstechnica’s mole says Sony will continue to use their two model approach for the PS3.
The new model may also include a Dual Shock 3 controller, which will replace the Spiderman 3 bundle. The prices are likely to stay the same.
