Slimmer PS3 In The Works?
T3 Magazine has posted up some interesting news about a rumor of a new slimmed-down version of the PlayStation 3. Apparently this rumor came about from the recent CES show last month. “Gadget gossip” is how it’s put.
Keep in mind this is pure speculation about Sony’s upcoming version of the PS3. It was recently discovered that the 80GB version of the PS3 will be discontinued in prep for a better and badder version, most likely to include a larger hard drive and a Dual-Shock 3 controller.
Sony has had a habit of making their products slimmer, including the first and second PlayStation consoles, as well as the PSP. If speculation is correct, the next version of the PS3 will be slimmer with a 160GB hard drive. Of course Sony is keeping quiet about this new rumor. We will have to wait to see if anything comes to light.
