Nintendo’s Strange Patent Applications

Nintento has filed some very unusual patent applications at the European Patent Office to cover possible accessories for the Wii remote. Among the claimed accessories are a classic style Nintendo gun, a teddy-bear, goggles and helmet, a bicycle pedal, and a skateboard truck.

Without knowing the claims involved with the patent application(s), it is hard to tell what exactly would be patentable subject matter. It appears Nintendo is taking no chances…
