In an apparent twist in gaming, Rockstar Games has decided to go back to the past and release a retro version of the Grand Theft Auto series for Grand Theft Auto 5.

In a rebellious fit over the recent trend in better graphics, better gaming, Rockstar Games has given up on the masses.

For now on, Rockstar Games is about games, not graphics.

The crowd reaction is pretty cool in this vid of Street Fighter X Tekken.

I recently bought Red Dead Redemption by Rockstar Games.  And so far I am really enjoying the game.  Just think GTA matched with Jesse James or Wild Bill Hickok.  In the alternative, also think of Deadwood from HBO, one of my favorite TV shows, although it was unexpectedly cut short.

I’m sure you have read the reviews so far, yeah it is a great game.  It is definitely an enjoyable change from the typical game these days.  I mean how often can you play the role of a badass in the old wild west?

With his excellent programing skills and love of gaming, Eric Ruth has created an 8-Bit version of Left 4 Dead, which is now free to download.

The game features single player and co-op player modes, along with two difficulty settings, all in the glory of 8-Bit NES appearance.

Take-Two Interactive is teaming up with Digital Extremes to bring multiplayer to BioShock 2. “The fans asked for a multiplayer experience and we answered,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “With Digital Extremes delivering a multiplayer experience for BioShock 2 that features all of the things that make BioShock unique, we’re holding ourselves to a high standard so that we can deliver the depth and variety that fans of the BioShock universe demand.”

Key features:

- Evolution of the genetically enhanced shooter – Earn experience points during gameplay to earn access to new Weapons, Plasmids and Tonics that can be used to create hundreds of different combinations, allowing players to develop a unique character that caters to their playing style.

Hines said the game will not be a sequel of Fallout 3, it will simply be set in another part of the Fallout universe, mos likely Vegas by the name of it.

The original BioShock won game of the year, and became a big hit despite its SecuROM usage. Its ratings from the beginning were sky high by all the major gaming reviewers. BioShock 2 will take place 10 years after the original, and you will play as the first Big Daddy in Rapture.

Let’s hope the game doesn’t come bundled with intrusive DRM like the last time. I never bought the original because of SecuROM, and might consider buying the second if it doesn’t have the DRM.
