Nintendo is giving away a free guide to those who preorder either Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness starting March 16th. The guide is a limited edition Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Guide. The guide contains an exclusive collection of tips, interviews and an original manga by Ken Sugimori, main art director of Pokemon video games.
In these two new games, players journey through time and darkness as actual Pokemon as they attempt to find out why they’ve been turned into a Pokemon. Their epic quest leads them through countless, randomly generated dungeons, encountering more than 490 Pokemon. Read more…

Nintendo and Best Buy are teaming up to put on four regional Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournaments to crown a champion. The tournaments will be located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and finally New York for a Midnight Madness Launch event at the Best Buy store at 622 Broadway in New York. All of the 256 participants at each location will receive a $10 Best Buy gift card. One winner will receive a custom-designed, crystal-covered Wii, a home theater system from Best Buy and other prizes.
“Super Smash Bros. is one of the world’s most popular game franchises because it draws in characters from across the Nintendo universe and beyond for some all-out fighting fun,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales & marketing. “Super Smash Bros. Nintendo has decided to push the release date of Super Smash Bros. Brawl further into the year of 2008. It was originally set to release in late 2007, then delayed until February 10, 2008. The new release date is now slated for March 9, 2008.

Just as soon as we all thought you could preorder Super Smash Bros. Brawl for under $20 from Walmart, the mistake was fixed. If you now navigate to the preorder page the price is listed as $49.82.
Oh Well. Hopefully some of you took advantage of the “deal” while it lasted. I’d like to hear if anyone actually successfully preordered it for under $20.

If you are still waiting to preorder Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii console system with the greatest deal online, Walmart is selling the game at a price of $19.82.
I have a feeling this may be a mistake by Walmart, so you might want to take advantage of this deal as soon as possible.

It’s true. NAMCO BANDAI Games has announced the appearance of Darth Vader and Yoda in Soul Calibur IV for the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 console. Unfortunately both will not appear on the same systems. Vader will only be available on the PlayStation 3, while Yoda is stuck on the Xbox 360.

Super Mario Galaxy is turning out to be one of the most popular games of all time amongst gamers and critics alike.
Independent review-tracking site GameRankings.com now lists Super Mario Galaxy for Nintendo’s Wii system as the best-reviewed game of all time, and another review-tracking site, Metacritic.com, lists Super Mario Galaxy as having “Universal Acclaim,” with a score of 98 out of 100.

NSider2 has brought us the attention of a Variety.com review on the recently released Mario Galaxy for the Wii console. The writer of the review, Ben Fritz, takes a strong dislike of Mario Galaxy due to its short-comings in graphics and two-player experience.
An interesting twist to this review is the fact that it was a Sony sponsored review, evident by a Sponsored by Sony picture. Is this a desperate attempt by Sony to take away the hype of Nintendo’s new Mario addition, or is Ben Fritz’s review a legitimate view on the game despite what many Wii fanboys will have to say?

Mario is back in Super Mario Galaxy, now available for the Wii console. Super Mario Galaxy launches Mario into space to explore a multitude of planets, collecting Power Stars, and encountering crazy creatures along the way.
For the first time, Super Mario Galaxy lets a second player lend a hand in “co-star” mode. Using the revolutionary motion-sensitive Wii Remote, the co-star can point at the screen to collect starbits to shoot at enemies, deflect incoming attacks or stall enemies to help Mario.
