Apparently some gamer was so upset that his Best Buy ran out of Modern Warfare 3, he threatened to blow up the store and gun down the employees. The employees were so scared they called the police and Mr. Sar was pulled over shortly after leaving the Best Buy.
Being a long time Battlefield fan and a former PC geek and overclocker, I decided to go ahead and build a new PC once I heard Battlefield 3 was about to release. Besides, it is almost winter and I’m approaching my hibernation for the coming cold months. My goal was to keep the build under $1000, and in the end I stuck to it.
In an apparent twist in gaming, Rockstar Games has decided to go back to the past and release a retro version of the Grand Theft Auto series for Grand Theft Auto 5.
The Playstation Network’s latest update include a download of the Battlefield Bad Company 2 demo. The file size is just under 1GB.
The demo is for the online multiplayer feature, there is no story mode play. After playing Mordern Warfare 2 for the last couple of months, BF:BC2 feels a bit clunky. I’m assuming they will be tweaking the game for its launch March 2nd.
Battlefield 1943 is becoming one of the most downloaded games for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. If you have been a fan of the PC version of the last couple of Battlefield series games, don’t expect Battlefield 1943 to be the same game.
Take-Two Interactive is teaming up with Digital Extremes to bring multiplayer to BioShock 2. “The fans asked for a multiplayer experience and we answered,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “With Digital Extremes delivering a multiplayer experience for BioShock 2 that features all of the things that make BioShock unique, we’re holding ourselves to a high standard so that we can deliver the depth and variety that fans of the BioShock universe demand.”
Fallout New Vegas was announced today during a Bethesda press conference in London. Pete Hines, a member of Bethesda, released the information, saying the game is expected sometime next year for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Hines said the game will not be a sequel of Fallout 3, it will simply be set in another part of the Fallout universe, mos likely Vegas by the name of it.
The original BioShock won game of the year, and became a big hit despite its SecuROM usage. Its ratings from the beginning were sky high by all the major gaming reviewers. BioShock 2 will take place 10 years after the original, and you will play as the first Big Daddy in Rapture.
Let’s hope the game doesn’t come bundled with intrusive DRM like the last time. I never bought the original because of SecuROM, and might consider buying the second if it doesn’t have the DRM.
