NBA 2K8 from 2K Sports is now available in North America for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation 2. NBA 2K8 is the latest installment of the #1 rated NBA 2K series for three years running and follows NBA 2K7, last year’s top selling basketball game for Xbox 360.

2K Sports recently released the official soundtrack of NBA 2K8, featuring original and exclusive tracks from the late legendary producer J Dilla (aka Jay Dee) with Common, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli and Madlib providing vocals.
“J Dilla was one of the industry’s greatest talents,” said Q-Tip. “This recording is reflective of his legacy and of the wonderful body of work that he left behind.”
The in-game soundtrack to NBA 2K8 introduces today’s gamers to classic tracks from The Highlighters Band, Ernie and The Topnotes, Billy Ball & The Upsetters, and The Fabulous Jades. The soundtrack will also include music from Quasimoto, Percee P, Run-DMC, Devo, Cut Chemist, Fishbone, Stone Roses and many more.

Electronic Arts has announced that the cover athlete for NFL Tour, a new NFL licensed arcade football video game, will be determined through an open online voting process.
Voters will be able to choose between the Miami Dolphins’ defensive end Jason Taylor, the Indianapolis Colts’ defensive end Dwight Freeney, and the San Diego Chargers’ linebacker Shawne Merriman. At the completion of the voting process, the NFL player who receives the most votes will be announced as the official cover athlete for NFL Tour.

NBA LIVE 08 cover athlete Gilbert Arenas from the Washington Wizards will be hosting the NBA Live Summer Camp on August 29, 2007 to a number of NBA stars, media, and kids to gather authentic motion capture moves. The stars on-hand to suit up in motion sensors will be Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics), Josh Howard (Dallas Mavericks), Monta Ellis (Golden State Warriors), Shawn Marion (Phoenix Suns) and Randy Foye (Minnesota Timberwolves).
Unfortunately, the event will be open to the media only. As host, Gilbert will put his cooking skills to test by pulling out the hibachi and grilling lunch for his guests. The event will provide the NBA players the opportunity to get their first look at NBA LIVE 08, give feedback to the development team, and get them on the court for a little friendly competition.

EA has announced a special online multiplayer feature of FIFA 08 that will allow 10 simultaneous players in a single game. This feature will be available for download for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 console six to eight weeks after the game releases. The release date is set of September 28, 2007 for Europe, and October 9 for North America.
Be A Pro: Online Team Play locks the gamer as a single player on the field during the entire game. Four other teammates can join online to play against 5 other rivals with free roaming AI players. The Be A Pro game mode will also allow a gamer to play against free roaming AI only, or a combination of AI and online players.

2K Games, sports publishing label of Take Two Interactive Software, Inc., has announced there will be added features to their sports title, NHL 2K8. These new features include Superstar Moves of well known greats of the NHL and all-new goal tending techniques and moves.

Electronic Arts has announced an update to their on-going EA SPORTS Craftsman Nascar Challenge. The event is scheduled to take place in 11 cities across the country, giving gamers the chance to win cash and prizes. The Grand Prize winner will receive $10,000 on November 18, 2007.
