Blizzard Entertainment has introduced a new StarCraft II unit belonging to the protoss section. The Carrier unit can be unleashed like a swarm of bees from carrier bays. Blizzard has this to say about the new unit:
“The massive carriers serve as operations centers for leaders of the protoss fleets. Heavily armored and shielded, carriers can punch their way through enemy blockades by unleashing flights of robotic interceptors at vital enemy targets. These maneuverable, computer-guided craft tear through enemy flight formations and relentlessly strafe slower ground targets with potent plasma charges.”

Blizzard Entertainment has added another unit to StarCraft II named Battlecruiser. The new unit is part of the Terran section. Blizzard has this to say about the new Battlecruiser unit:
“These massive, heavily armored combat ships are virtual flying fortresses, built to keep the peace and dominate the space lanes of the Koprulu sector. Many commanders use battlecruisers as their command vessels during extended campaigns. There are several examples of vessels specifically refitted for this purpose, such as General Duke’s Norad II and Norad III, as well as the battlecruiser Hyperion commanded by Jim Raynor.”

Nintendo’s Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day for the Nintendo DS has become a big hit among several unlikely places, including Hair salons, RV shows and shopping malls.
“Many different people are sampling and playing Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day, including some people you might not expect to be trying video games,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “The title draws people in with its engaging game play, so this summer we’re giving all kinds of people a chance to energize and sharpen their brains while demonstrating that everyone’s a gamer.”

Blizzard Entertainment has added a new unit to StarCraft II, named the Mothership. Blizzard has this to say about the new unit:
“Protoss motherships are mighty vessels that were constructed centuries ago during the golden age of protoss expansion. They were intended to act as primary command ships to lead vast armadas of protoss explorers into the darkness of deep space and bring them safely home again. Those days are long gone, and the surviving motherships later became holy shrines to the protoss, representing an honored way of life and a part of the proud history of the protoss race.”

Blizzard Entertainment has added a new unit to StarCraft II, named the Dark Templar. Blizzard has this to say about the new unit:
“The dark templar are powerful psionic warriors whose forebears were exiled from the protoss homeworld of Aiur over a thousand years ago. The protoss who would eventually become the dark templar were banished for their refusal to join the emerging Khala, the communal mind link shared by all protoss, and the accompanying caste system enforced by the ruling Conclave of the protoss.”

EA recently announced a new expansion pack for Command & Conquer 3 on the BattleCast Primetime show. The news was officially announced by C&C3 producer, Jim Vessella. Kane’s Wrath focuses on Kane and the rise of the NOD during the Second Tiberium Wars, continuing through the Third Wars and beyond.
The expansion pack will feature a new gameplay mode called Global Domination, along with more units, upgrades, powers and structures for each of the core factions. Also included in the expansion pack is two sub-factions for each core faction, as well as 24 new multiplayer maps.

Ubisoft recently announced the availability of CSI: Hard Evidence for the Xbox 360 and Wii consoles. The title was originally slated for only the PC, but will appear on the consoles with reworked navigational functions. Of course there will differences between the two platforms due to Wii’s unique controller.
CSI: Hard Evidence is a strategy type game where the user solves cases just like in the show. The game will even include realistic crime solving techniques and lab equipment. Everything the CSI wannabe needs.
