Mario is back in Super Mario Galaxy, now available for the Wii console. Super Mario Galaxy launches Mario into space to explore a multitude of planets, collecting Power Stars, and encountering crazy creatures along the way.
For the first time, Super Mario Galaxy lets a second player lend a hand in “co-star” mode. Using the revolutionary motion-sensitive Wii Remote, the co-star can point at the screen to collect starbits to shoot at enemies, deflect incoming attacks or stall enemies to help Mario.

Volleyball (NES, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): Step onto the court in one of the first volleyball games ever made. Select either the men’s or women’s competition, choose from one of eight available countries to represent, and prepare for some intensely fun game play. The straightforward controls include all the moves you’ll need to effectively direct your six-person team. Take some time mastering them in the training mode, though, because you’ll need all the practice you can get when competing against challenging computer opponents. If you feel like some multiplayer action, take on a friend in the two-player mode and see whose skills are more polished. Block, set and spike your way to victory.

On November 11, 2007 Nintendo will launch the new “Check Mii Out” Wii channel so gamers can show off their Mii characters online for the world to see.
“The Check Mii Out Channel lets people show off their Mii creations and vote on those created by others,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “It’s yet another way that we’re building fun, interactive communities of Wii owners without charging them extra for the privilege.”

Just when you thought Sony and Microsoft had some momentum for the 2007 holiday season after announcing their upcoming game lineups, Nintendo brings on their own list of titles readying to launch. As Nintendo’s list of upcoming games demonstrates, Nintendo has a game or experience for everyone, and from almost every Publisher imaginable.
“Because of Wii and Nintendo DS momentum, third-party publishers are supporting our systems like never before,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “Their lineup of diverse games is testament to how we make the population of gamers a little bigger every day.”
By the end of the 2007 season, the Wii library will contain 140 titles, not including nearly 200 downloadable Virtual Console titles. The DS library will grow to nearly 450 titles.

Nintendo released its newest firmware update for the Wii console. Version 3.1 brings a few new features to the console, including USB keyboard support and improved internet browsing.
Additional updates include hyperlink compatibility in the Wii message boards resulting in the browser window launching automatically, and users will now be able to submit their own questions on the “Everybody Votes” channel.
