A fan of Contra NES put together a LittleBigPlanet world together, replicating the Contra levels and put the video together above. Brings back some great Contra memories.
It was recently announced that the Nintendo DSi will be releasing this spring for the United States and United Kingdom. The U.S. will get their hands on the new DSi on April 5th and the U.K. on April 3rd. The DSi was released in Japan back in November 2008.
Well, there is a reason Grand Theft Auto IV is rated M for mature. The latest installment of GTAIV is The Lost and Damned, an exclusive add-on for the Xbox 360 version. Those that have a chance to play the game have discovered quite a surprise in one of the video sequences. One of the characters is shown strutting around fully naked. You may think they aren’t actually going to show anything, but in the end of the scene the guy shows his package and all.
Saw has been a long running violent movie in the past years. Konami is now considering releasing a Saw video game for us to play. Apparently Lionsgate has made a deal with Konami to make the Saw video game.
Lionsgate was considering marketing a Saw game themselves, but decided they did not have the proper experience to properly market a video game.
Unfortunately the rumors were true. The Sims 3 is delayed until June 2, 2009, merely weeks before it was supposed to be released on February 20, 2009. This is a sad sad day for Sims 3 fans, all the anticipation in the last couple of weeks has been building for the latest in the one of the greatest simulation games on the market.
The PC version of Gears of War has a very big problem at the moment. The DRM used to protect the game has a certificate that expired on January 28, 2009. This means the game has been shut off and can no longer be played even after uninstalling and installing the game.
In an interview with Playstation Magazine, SCEI head Kazuo Hirai, explained that the Playstation 3 was intentionally designed to be troublesome for developers to design games for.
Hirai stated, “We don’t provide the ‘easy to program for’ console that [developers] want, because ‘easy to program for’ means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so then the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine-and-a-half years?”
The latest Grand Theft Auto rumor was one involving GTA V: Tokyo. An entirely new GTA game thought to be releasing the end of 2009. The rumor originated from the usually reliable Game Informer magazine, Issue 190.
Game Informer stated, “We’re not talking about new DLC or a collection of previously available DLC, we’re talking about a full retail game,” and gave a thoughtful title, “Tokyo”, sort of like GTAIII spin-offs.
Unfortunately, it is only a rumor. A Rockstar spokesperson told Kotaku that there is no Grand Theft Auto V planned for the year 2009. That really sucks, I hate waiting years for my favorite games to release. That is just how it is though.
Current retailers advertise the pre-release of Final Fantasy XIII sometime in December 2009. But, don’t get your hopes up! Apparently the next installment of Final Fantasy won’t be released in North American territories until 2010, while the Japanese launch is still expected in 2009.
